Additional stability.
Using the cross brace, the MFT 3 can be additionally braced, and thus becomes even more stable. This is, above all, sensible if work is frequently being performed in which the MFT is stressed by lateral forces, such as when affixing edges with the KA65.

The braces are pre-assembled once, then they remain on the MFT and can then be fixed without tools
